functions, entry way storage and seating, bedroom seating and storage, for shoes.

Directions

Follow the steps below to complete this project.

1

base and bottom shelf

assemble the 2x4 base from measurements listed, with 3 in Philips head screws(easier to clamp them together.drill pilot holes then run the screws in.) after you have assembled the base you can then lay a bead of glue on the top of 2x4 base and lay your bottom section on. nail the bottom shelf to your base with 1 1/4 brad nails, this is the time to square your base with the bottom shelf

2

sides and dividers

next) take the sides and dividers and drill your pocket holes with the kreg system. this is a good time to sand the front edges. once you have them all drilled lay them out equally or however you want. and attach them to the bottom base using your 1 1/2 pocket screws.(i layed my center dividers 16' from each end.)

3

top

lay your top out on your saw horses or table. transfer the measurements from the bottom shelf to the top shelf. turn the bottom section you just assembled upside down on the top shelf and attach with your 1 1/2 pocket screws and then flip it back overover.

4

back

next you can add the back with your brad nailer. this is when you square up the whole assembly

5

trim

take your table saw and set the fence to 4 inches rip your 1x6's. this is where you get you upper and lower trim, and dividers. and cut to size.
