Blanket/storage chest

Directions

Follow the steps below to complete this project.

Materials

Beaded 5inch boards from Home Depot. 2' x 4' plywood. Piano hinge. 1 X 2 edging.

Cutting

Cut the beaded boards to desired width, mine are 48 inches on front, back and top. The sides are 18". Cut the plywood to 24 X 18. Cut the trim pieces to cover the edges.

Routing

Rout a groove in the plywood to put the tongue of the beadboard in on all 4 sides.

Glue

Decide your height. Mine is 18". Fit tongue and grooves bead board until you get your height for all 4 sides then glue and clamp. In the same manner glue the top.

Kreg

Make pockets along all edges of sides and bottom for pocket screws, then screw all sides to bottom. Then screw sides together.

Top

Use piano hinge to attach top
