Directions

Follow the steps below to complete this project.

1

Assemble Top

This wood coffee table has three sections. The top of these sections are exactly the same dimensions. Take 1x10 and using miter saw cut them to 27 ¾” in length 9 times. Drill pocket holes as shown on the cut list and assemble three boards together with wood glue and 1 ¼” pocket hole screws. You will have three top sections.

2

Assemble Sides for Upper Sections

Take 1x4 and using miter saw cut it to 27 ¾” long four times, and 29 ¼” four times. The pieces that are 27 ¾” long will have pocket holes on each side. Attached these sides boards to the top section that you created in step-1. Now you have both the upper and middle section complete.

3

Assemble Sides for Lower Sections

When cutting boards for the lower section take 1x10 and cut it to 27 ¾” long pieces two times and 29 ¼” two times. The pieces that are 27 ¾” long will have pocket holes on each side. Assemble these side pieces to the last remaining top board.

4

Add Blocks to Upper Section

When attaching coffee table sections together there will be a ½” gap between them. Use 2x4 to cut 6” long blocks 16 times (if you have a 4x4 wood, you could do this instead of 2x4). Drill pocket holes on both sides of these blocks. Make sure you drill pocket holes for 1 ¼” screws. Because you don’t want the screws to come out from the top. Flip the top section upside down and attach these block on four corners.

5

Add Blocks to Middle Section

Now take the middle section of the table and placed it on over the 2x4 blocks. Offset this section few inches and fasten it to the 2x4 blocks using 2" wood screws. Again, similar to step-4, attach 2x4 block to the middle section on four corners.

6

Attach Lower Section

Finish by placing the last bottom section and fasten it to the 2x4 blocks using wood. Once you're done assembling, sand the wood and stain it.
