I built this in an afternoon from a sheet of 3/4 sheathing plywood I had. It is sturdier than I thought it would be. I'm going to build one with better plywood and add caters to it.

I built two of these and the plans produce a sturdy work bench for about $40 a piece. My original intention, being in a smaller garage, was to have tables that I could place together or pull apart to serve as an assembly table and out-feed/in-feed tables for my table saw. After I got everything built I realized that the way the plans are I realized that they were too short to serve that purpose and just too short to be a comfortable working height for a 6' tall person. I used what little waste there was from the plan to make extensions for each leg and added leveling feet to solve that problem. To better function as out-feed tables I offset the tops to one end so they would clear my saw motor. Over all a good efficient plan.
